United Hospital
United Hospital is also located in St. Paul, Minnesota. It is a nonprofit hospital and is part of the Allina Health System. United Hospital offers a range of speciality medical services. These include pregnancy and birth, behavioral health, cancer, heart and vascular services, orthopedics, and neurological treatments. As a result, it can house up to 556 patients at a time and provides care to more than 200,000 people each year. United Hospital serves as the main branch of the United Heart and Vascular Clinic.
St. Joseph’s Hospital
St. Joseph’s Hospital was the first hospital in Minnesota. It is one of three tertiary hospitals located in downtown St. Paul and houses 253 beds at a time. St. Joseph’s is currently a member of the HealthEast Care System.
Bethesda Hospital
Bethesda Hospital is a member of the HealthEast Care System. It is one of two long-term, acute care hospitals (LTACHs) in Minnesota. It is accredited by the Joint Commission and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Long-term acute care hospitals provide extended, specialized, and aggressive medical care for patients with life-changing illnesses or injuries. These include medical conditions like strokes, organ failure after major surgery, and traumatic accidents involving damage to the spinal cord or brain injuries.
